Organizing a celebration on your own can be overwhelming, especially when honoring your special graduate! I have created a guide to hosting the ultimate graduation party! So, let’s turn the tassel and toss your cap, its time to celebrate my sister and the entire graduating class of 2023.
Food and Desserts
Food Trucks
Restaurants on wheels are the latest craze and the perfect addition to your next party. They take care of all prep and clean up – all you have to do is sign the check!
If you are from the Indianapolis area, you have to check out the Bearded Burger. Smash burgers with all of your favorite toppings and a side of onion petals or mac n cheese bites really hits the spot! Click here for more food trucks!
She’s One Smart Cookie!
With a sweet tooth like mine, we knew an assortment of cookie jars was a must. Especially my mom’s famous sugar cookies!
We found glass jars on Amazon and tied twine through name tags cut from black paper in our craft supplies.
We bought a mini chalk board sign from the Dollar Store, then used chalk markers to write the message “She’s One Smart Cookie”.
Party Decorations
Floral Arrangements
Fresh flowers can spruce up any space with a simple pop of color to catch your eye. The vases we arranged had orange Roses, Zinnias, Peonies, and greenery to give it volume!
Awards & Achievements
Graduating in the top percentile of her class while balancing involvement in several extracurriculars, she has acquired several achievements. How do you display everything without cluttering the table?
- Create a scrapbook of photos
- Poster display with photos from her soccer senior night
- Nail awards, letter patches, and plaques to a palette
- Use frames, crates, and props to create dimension on the table
Photo Display
A trip down memory lane is sentimental for graduates and the loved ones that have walked alongside their journey! We drew inspiration from a Pinterest post of a wooden accordion photo display. Follow the link below if you are looking for a DIY project!
Photo Backdrop
Say “graduate”! Nailing together two palettes and staking them in the yard was the foundation of her backdrop. We purchased a balloon arch kit to create a garland! The arch became a spotlight and tied into the flowers we incorporated on the tables.
If you are from the Indianapolis area in need of a balloon arch, check out Balloons by Bug on Instagram!
